In the summer of 2022 I collapsed my lung while white water canoeing. Due to my injury I wasn't able to do my usual hobbies, such as canoeing, camping and rock climbing, so I started 3D modelling instead. This eventually led me to realize that 3D modelling and digital art are things that I really enjoy, and am very passionate about. Ultimately, I decided to attend LaSalle College's videogame 3D modelling program and pursue a career as a 3D modeler.
I am now seeking employment as a general 3D artist, with a particular talent for creating environments and levels. Having a liberal arts degree from Marianopolis college also gives me a greater understanding of history, art history and architecture allowing me to incorporate this knowledge when constructing environments. My strong background in the outdoors, as a camping guide and outdoor educator gives me a greater understanding of how outdoor spaces look and feel, which I am able to implement into my environment modeling.
I love environment modeling the most because it allows me to combine my three passions of history, the outdoors and digital art/3D modelling into one project.
Character modeling study I did, as well as the first 3d Character model I created. I modeled it primarily in 3ds Max as well as zbursh for high res details and soft body elements. I created textures in photoshop and then applied them in 3ds Max, and it was also rendered in 3ds max. The image is based on the idea of a post apocalyptic world where people have to resort back to using medievel weaponr
Vehicle model I created of futuristic garbage truck. The model is inspired by concept art for the blade runner seriese, and thus is why it has a cyberpunk background. It was modeled entirely in 3ds max. The background was found online and is not made by me.
This is a logcreated for a larger project, that i thought deserved a closer view. It's a very low poly model, and the texture was created from free stock footage I found online. Created in 3DS Max and rendered in unreal Engine 5
This is a model of sci-fi inspired blunderbuss, the first on the left i did in 2023 and was the first version which had a lot of mistakes in the texturing, the second, on the right, i updated about a year later and fixed all the issues with the textures. The model was modeled and rendered in 3ds max, and the textures were created using photoshop.
This is the first model I ever created, I made it in blender following Blender Guru's tutorial which also serves as a great introduction to 3D modelling, and which eventually lead me to realize I loved 3D modeling and to pursue a career in it.
Potion Factory
This was created as an assignment for a level design class, and is made entirely from pre-existing assets in unreal engine. It is the first level/environment I designed, and is inspired by the potion factroy from Shreck 2, as well as drawing on a dark souls inspired aesthetic.
Temple of the Goddess
Quick animated render I did of an environtment I created. It is of a temple dedicated to a snake goddess. It is inspired by darksouls style architecture and level design, as well as taking heavy historcal influence from romanesque and gothic architechture styles, and minoan (greek) artistic depictions of a snake goddess. Everything was modeled in 3ds max, textured in photoshop, and assembled and rendered in unreal Engine. I also used zBursh to create high resolution details for the models, which were then projected onto the models as normal map textures.
Gargantuan Prison
Quick model and render I did for an environment I created for a Dungeons and Dragons campaign that I run. The players start the campaign locked in a massive prison originally made to hold a giant. I added some little snow particle effects and some sounds for ambiance. very rough model, more of a 1st draft or concept but enough to get the idea accross.
